Reefing the Third Spar Ever Decommissioned
Blue Latitudes led pre- and post-reefing ROV surveys on the East Breaks 110 platform to support its conversion via the partial removal method. The pre-reefing survey established a baseline of the ecological biodiversity and abundance associated with the structure; the post-reefing survey then tracked biological recruitment and colonization on the reefed structure, providing evidence that partial removal reefing can deliver real environmental benefit.
