Our Team

As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Blue Latitudes, Amber leads a team of offshore energy consultants and marine scientists who conduct marine ecological value assessments, ROV surveys, and fisheries analyses to support decommissioning and strategic planning for offshore energy and government clients. The team also leverages Blue Latitudes' patent-pending software, FishLAT, to model and evaluate offshore infrastructure, helping determine the most environmentally sustainable and fiscally responsible outcomes for each site. Amber's work centers on the Rigs-to-Reefs decommissioning option, examining the ecological, economic, and social dimensions of its implementation in the United States and internationally.

Amber holds a B.A. in Marine Science from UC Berkeley and an M.A.S. in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from Scripps Institution of Oceanography. She was named to the Explorers Club's Fifty People Changing the World and to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Energy, both in recognition of her work at Blue Latitudes developing sustainable, creative, and cost-effective solutions for the offshore energy industry. A TEDx speaker, Amber has shared her work at the intersection of energy and ocean conservation with audiences around the world.

Amber also has a background in technology. A former Ocean Curator with Google and Mission Blue, she supported the engineering and launch of intelligent layers in Google Earth and Google Maps to communicate complex ocean science to broad audiences. By combining industry expertise with research-driven insights and advanced technical tools, Amber and her team turn offshore challenges into opportunities for ecological enhancement and long-term ocean stewardship.
